Ambushed On All Sides: Navigating Arguments In Polyamorous & Non-Traditional Dynamics
In polyamory, it is rare that a disagreement with one partner doesn’t impact other relationships or metamors. A mistake or moment of poor judgement can reach all of the people who love us. We set ourselves back in connection and intimacy when our big emotions cause us to say things we don’t mean or give our loved ones the Silent Treatment. The process of rebuilding our bonds after a disagreement or breach of trust is compounded in multi-person relationships and complex family structures.
In this 3 hour live Zoom workshop, we’ll take the research of Dr’s Julie & John Gottman from their book “Fight Right” and explore how to apply these principles to non-traditional relationships, polyamorous constellations, and chosen family.
This workshop is designed for busy people, to help you apply the strategies developed during the Gottman Love Lab’s 40 years of research in less time than reading a few chapters. We explore the book’s most powerful ideas through fictional stories about lifelike couples, triads, and non-monogamous constellation relationships having realistic arguments, and we learn how we can adjust our conflict behaviors through reflective questions about our values and how we want to show up for our loved ones. The workshop will leave you with a personalized plan to feel closer to your partners even when your opinions differ.
You may choose from the following dates and times:
July 1st - 7pm EST / 6pm CST / 4pm PST
July 6th - 1pm EST / 12pm CST / 10am PST
July 12th - 3pm EST / 2pm CST / 12pm PST
